A quiet village with Corfu on its doorstep
Sinarades is a traditional village on the west side of Corfu, with narrow lanes, old stone houses and everyday island life. It’s quiet and green, and a world away from the busy resorts.
From the loft, sandy beaches, mountain viewpoints and Corfu’s historic old town are all a short drive away. Here are a few of our favourite places.

Close By

Agios Gordios
A long sandy bay framed by steep green hills, with clear water and a row of tavernas along the sand.
At its southern end stands Ortholithi, a tall rock pinnacle rising out of the sea.
Glyfada
One of Corfu’s best-known sandy beaches: soft golden sand, sunbeds and beach bars.
Stay for the sunset, which drops straight into the sea.

Pelekas
A hilltop village of narrow lanes, cafés and tavernas.
Just above it is Kaiser’s Throne, the viewpoint pictured at the top of this page, and one of the best places on the island to watch the sun go down.
Kontogialos
Also known as Pelekas beach: a sandy, sheltered bay below the village of Pelekas.
Its gently shelving water makes it an easy, relaxed swim.
